Travel/Directions

Main office situated in Cornhill between Market Place and the now closed multi-storey carpark on Bolton Road.  Entrance is next to Ladbrokes Betting Agency. If you plan to visit us by car then the closest car park is at Castle Quay or the pay & display near the Old Auctioneer or in the Market Place.

Additional Information

All sessions, including Monday evening session, are drop-in where clients are given a short interview to assess their needs.  Appointments are made as result of this interview only. 

We are closed on Tuesday afternoon and Friday afternoon, however you can still access telephone help.

Volunteering

We are always looking for people who can help us on a volunteer basis. At the moment we are also specifically looking for people living in Brackley who would like to help out in our advice centre there. Please contact us if you can help.

Appointments are available during opening times. These are for clients needing further advice following their initial interview.

  • Honorary Legal Adviser

    Administrator for the Honorary Legal Adviser If you can volunteer 2 half days per week, or 1 day, for 6 months or more and have good admin skills then you could do this role. The Honorary Legal Adviser (HLA) of Citizens Advice North Oxon and South Northants, following the withdrawal of most civil and family legal aid, is doing his best to advise and assist people with legal cases who would otherwise not be able to afford legal representation. This role supports the HLA in dealing with clients, paperwork and inputting information onto our client database.

  • Researchers and Campaigns workers

    Researchers and Campaigns workers If you are available for 4 hours (or more per week), for 3 (or more) months, have good IT skills and know how to use the internet, then you could do this role. By using evidence that Citizens Advice gets from our clients, you could help bring about changes in local and national policies and services which can benefit everyone - even those who have never used a local Citizens Advice before.

    The role: Trustee, PR & Marketing The member of the Trustee Board with responsibility for PR & Marketing will contribute to the development of appropriate publicity with the media, funders and community organisations as well as developing effective relations with appropriate authorities, organisations and individuals to support the strategic development, delivery and sustainability of our services.
