TELEPHONE ADVICE

All our bureaux offer a telephone service via a single telephone number - 08444 111 444. This number is staffed Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm, by gateway assessors from all bureaux.

During your initial call we will aim to assess your problem and how best we can help you resolve it. As with a face-to-face gateway interview, this could result in you

  • being given the necessary information
  • being referred to another organisation
  • being given an appointment, either in the bureau or over the telephone

If the bureau offers to call you back to provide more detailed advice, please ensure you are available at that time, and have all your papers to hand.

See "visiting the bureau" above to learn which information and paperwork you will need to have with you when you first phone.
