Friends of Citizens Advice Oxford

About us

Friends of Citizens Advice Oxford has supported the local Citizens Advice since 1996. We are an active, independent charity that operates alongside Citizens Advice. Our role is to collaborate and financially aid Citizens Advice Oxfordshire by raising funds from regular donors and fundraising events throughout the year.

Our membership is constantly growing, bringing new ideas, an extra pair of hands or regular donations essential for events and fundraisers, and we always have a project or goal in our sights.

If you believe in the essential services that Citizens Advice Oxfordshire provide and want to participate, then come and join us. Get involved and become a fundraiser for a charity your community really relies upon.

Why join Friends of Citizens Advice Oxford?

We are a small charity currently going through a time of growth. As the needs of Citizens Advice Oxfordshire increase, we are called upon to expand and increase our activity. More demand on Advisors means more training and staff, which requires increased financial support. You can join as a donor and help by donating annually or monthly. You can join as a Supporter and provide essential hands on assistance. You can also join as a business and help your organisation to connect with the local community. Everyone is welcome to join Friends of Citizens Advice Oxford.

Join as a Donor
You can join Friends as a Donor, giving as much as you like to help us meet our goals. You can become as involved as you want in events. Attend them as a guest or come and help out. This is a relaxed position where regular monthly or yearly donations are the only requirements. Donors play a vital role in Friends, with the donations enabling us to hold essential fundraising events that help the community. Friends couldn’t exist without Donors.

Join as a Supporter
A supporter role is far more hands on, focusing on helping at our events, getting involved with the organisation of the events and assisting with fundraising and idea generation. You’ll gain valuable experience in this role, especially if you want to work in the charity or events sectors. You’ll be working alongside experienced charity sector workers, businesspeople, and passionate fundraisers with years of experience. There is no requirement to make donations in this role.

Join As a Business
A key purpose of Friends is to build relationships with businesses in Oxford to help them deliver their own Corporate Social Responsibility programmes. There are many opportunities to achieve this, including volunteering, specialist expertise, sponsorship and partnerships.

Thank you for your support.
