Citizens Advice Oxfordshire have vacancies for volunteer Administrative staff.  You will be located in our Witney office, providing a variety of Administrative support to our Citizens Advice team.

If you have experience of working in an office environment and have some time that you would be willing to give to our Charity , we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for new volunteers

Take a look at the volunteer roles below. If you are interested, please get in touch at volunteer-recruitment@caox.org.uk. No specific skills are required. Just a desire to help others in need. Please find the volunteer application form here

  • In this role, you will welcome all clients and other visitors to the Witney Citizens Advice. You will also maintain some client information, answer the telephone, reply to emails and post and help with the day to day running of the Citizens Advice service. We can be flexible about the time spent and how often you volunteer but ideally you would be available for 1 or 2 sessions per week. Sessions run from 9am-12:30pm and 1pm to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

  • After comprehensive training you will be giving advice to clients via the telephone, in person, or webchat. We give advice on a broad range of topics including debt management, benefits, employment, housing and relationship issues. You will need good IT skills and a desire to help people in your local community.

  • This fascinating volunteer role involves co-ordinating and being involved in all Citizens Advice West Oxfordshire research and campaigns activities. You will provide support and guidance to advisers on research and campaigns work and monitor trends in enquiries, to identify issues for potential local or national research and campaigns work.

  • In this volunteer role, you would help clients to complete Disability Benefit forms, either on-line or by paper on home visits across West Oxfordshire. We are flexible about the time spent and how often you volunteer but, ideally, if you could conduct at least 2 home visits a week. Home visits can take up to 3 hours per visit plus additional travel and admin time.
